"Superbowl Chinese Restaurant Eastwood Review update on 31/12/2025 Do not be fooled by the empty dining room — Eastwood outside was absolutely choked! New Year’s Eve shoppers clearly had priorities, and apparently they weren’t eating here. We eyed the set menu for four and… let’s just say it didn’t spark instant joy. Cue the thinking hats as we custom-picked our own adventure: • Peking Style Spare Ribs • Wasabi Diced Steak • Beef Brisket, Bean Curd & Radish Hotpot • Bitter Melon & Fish Fillet Hotpot The spare ribs arrived glossy and well-dressed, but sadly missed the crispy memo. Likely a sauce casualty. Tender and tasty, yes — visually exciting, not so much. The braised beef brisket promised melt-in-your-mouth dreams but delivered more of a chew. It clearly needed many more hours of slow, loving persuasion. The sauce leaned noticeably sweet. The wasabi diced steak came with straw mushrooms and beans but forgot the wasabi’s signature punch. The beef felt slightly over-tenderised and again — sweet, sweet, sweet. The bitter melon hotpot lived up to its name (no complaints there). Fish slices were modest, while a generous layer of crisp lettuce lined the bottom like a green surprise mattress. My critical palate raised an eyebrow or two, though my dining companions were far more forgiving. But then again — taste is personal, and bitterness (both melon and reviewer) is subjective. _____________ Review on w/12/2024 Superbowl Chinese Restaurant feels more like a cafe than a traditional restaurant, with well-spaced tables providing a comfortable dining experience. The set menus are available for groups of four, offering two dishes plus fried rice. We decided to order an additional dish to try another variety. The portion sizes are reasonable, though the salt and pepper flounder is not very big. The Gai Lan with sliced beef is good, and I believe the beef is not tenderized with bicarbonate. The Ging Du Spare Ribs have the right blend of sweet and tangy flavors. However, the fried rice should not have any “water” under the bed of rice. Overall, the meal is reasonably priced. Since we dined early, the restaurant had only a few customers."

"别不同確不同! The brand of this Chinese Restaurant has been in Sydney over 40 years! I first experienced the congee in Chinatown Sydney back in 1985. I am extremely pleased to see this Restaurant in Eastwood! They offered three seating arrangements : round table, long table and booth seat (卡位). Spacious, bright, tidy and clean. The best and famous signature dish is no doubt their congee. 態度: Waitress manner very good 速度: Fast and accurate order, short wait time 温度: Food temperature is perfect The only less impressive thing was that we smelled strong floor cleaning disinfectant during lunch hours. I believe they might review a better timing to clean the floor, not during busy lunch hours with customers."

"Superbowl Eastwod is the dark horse. Good food, higher quality, sensible pricing. I've eaten here ~4 times over the past week and can say it's been very pleasant. Service is good too. Worth a shot and then some."

"Located Eastwood, Rowe street. Packed seat area, trying to utilise floor area as much as possible. Every workers and owner seem busy and multi-tasking. Typical hongkier. Suggest them be relax a bit as here is Australia. The congee taste OK, but ingredient not worth the price it charge. The chef try to make some different or change on the dishes, but taste bit funny."

"Think they are relatively new in the area of Eastwood, unsure if they are franchise of the Superbowl at Chinatown but we went to try. Wide menu selection and currently they have a few set menu options to choose from starting from about $54?, $88.90 , $128.90. The higher the prize per set menu the more dishes you get. We were a table for 4pax hence we went for the $88.90 set menu set E. For the prize there was a combination of different seafood and meat and it comes with steam rice too, at the end of the meal they had also provided complimentary plate of slice naval oranges. Our meal consisted of claypot beef brisket with beancurd skin and radish, steam squid with bean sprouts, claypot prawns with vermicelli and seasonal vegetable served with assorted mushroom. We also tried their Kam Heong piPi served on a bed of crispy beehoon which was really nice! Very impressed with the squid as it was steamed to perfection- tender! Beef brisket was nice and tender, vegetables not overcooked and flavoursome, prawn vermicelli was good- prawns crispy crunch with every bite. Service was good and attentive and the overall dining atmosphere was pleasant and thankfully not hurried along. Amenities like the toilets is ok, clean. However if you have elderly folks, best to accompany as it is somewhat steep flight of stairs down to access which thankfully there is the handrail to hold on to but still best to accompany anyone who’s legs are not too good for safety. Overall pretty decent enjoyable meal! Will return to try other dishes."

"Like all good Chinese restaurants, you can’t expect top-tier service, but I didn’t have any major issues—just had to ask a couple of times. The food was solid, though. It’s the kind of place you can trust to serve a proper meal. The lobster e-fu noodles were above average, the fried rice was well done, and the pork ribs had great flavor. Reliable and satisfying."

"The dish Rock Salt Baked Chicken with Fried Rice is so tasty, the chicken is juicy full of flavour. The fried rice is well made, you can taste the 'wokhey'. This dish is best made here. The service is friendly. The restaurant atmosphere is pleasant."

"The place is clean, and staffs are very attentive. The fried glutinous rice is not as dried but taste is still amazing, tofu dish is delicious (unfortunately forgot to take photo), seafood is fresh, served big portions. Will come back again!"
